Dear Citizen:
The City of Port Arthur’s Parks and Recreation Department is excited at it embarks on a program to upgrade the city’s park system, recreational activities, and leisure offerings. The program entitled “…Imagine the Possibilities…” is designed to allow the department to reach new heights.
The “Parks and Recreation Citizen Survey” will allow us to gain meaningful input from the citizens of Port Arthur. The results of the survey, along with departmental research, will be combined not only to make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council, City Manager, and Assistant City Manager, regarding potential projects for bond funding, but also to recommend updates to the City’s Park, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan.
We are asking citizens to complete only one (1) survey to ensure the most accurate analysis.
There are five (6) ways to complete the survey:
1. Take the survey online right now!
2. Print out the survey and fax your response to: (409) 983-5644.
3. Print out the survey and mail your response to:

P. O. Box 1089
Port Arthur, Texas 77641-1089
4. Print out the survey and drop your response to: Recreation Center, 1308 9th Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas 77642
5. Complete a printed survey at the Port Arthur Public Library or the Port Arthur Public Health Department.
6. Beginning February, 2008 [February 11, 2008] complete the survey online.
